Katie offers comprehensive adult general ophthalmologic consultations and provides private cataract surgical services.
Adelaide born and raised, Dr Katie Billing is committed to providing comprehensive eye care and surgery to our community.
She undertook her medical training at the University of Adelaide, graduating in 2000. She then completed a Masters of Primary Health Care at Flinders University before commencing her specialist training in Ophthalmology.
She was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology in 2010, after completing comprehensive specialist training in both adult and paediatric ophthalmology in South Australia/NT, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital.
She has continued her strong links with the College and is involved in training the next generation of ophthalmologists. She is a current committee member of the South Australian RANZCO branch and sits on the national RANZCO Selection Board.
As well as private practice, Katie is currently a consultant ophthalmologist at Flinders Medical Centre and Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Katie offers comprehensive adult general ophthalmologic consultation at Western Eye Care, and provides private surgical services at Western Hospital Henley Beach, Adelaide Day Surgery and Vista Day Surgery. She is not taking paediatric referrals at Henley Beach currently.
In her free time, Katie loves spending time with her family, her very active kelpie, Buddy, bushwalking with friends, cooking and travelling.
